Dailingo ("the App") is an AI scenario-based English trainer. You practice English through real-world scenarios, receive focused AI corrections, and build a personal expression bank alongside a CEFR ability profile. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control. It applies to both the iOS app and the web client at english.daichenlab.com.

Dailingo is login-first. You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. We receive your email address and a user/account identifier from these providers. This is linked to your account and used to provide the service (App Functionality) — to save your progress, expression bank, and ability profile across devices.
The practice answers you submit (translations, role-play replies, topic descriptions, and related speech transcripts) are sent to our server and processed by an AI provider to generate corrections and scores. This User Content is linked to your account and used for App Functionality.
For speaking practice, the App uses your microphone together with on-device speech recognition to convert your speech to text. Audio is processed on your device; the resulting transcript may be sent to the server for grading like any other practice answer.

Your account, progress, expression bank, and practice history are stored on our server (over HTTPS) and tied to your account so they stay in sync across the iOS app and the web client. We use standard HTTPS encryption in transit (ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = false; no proprietary or non-exempt encryption).

We do not use third-party advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
